Joshua J. Kwoka

Welcome!  Before you take a look around, allow me to tell you a bit about myself and what you can expect to find on this website.  In the fall of 2020, I joined the Department of Anthropology at Georgia State University as a Lecturer. Prior to that, I was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University at Buffalo, where I also served as the Director of the Teotihuacan Archaeology Laboratory.

I am a broadly trained anthropological archaeologist with expertise in the ancient Maya, lithic technology, archaeological technology studies, and the anthropology of technology.  Though much of my research has been conducted in the Maya area, I have spent many years working with the Teotihuacan material housed at the University at Buffalo.

In addition to personal information, this website also contains data related to past and present research projects.  I hope you enjoy your visit, and please contact me if you have any questions.
